In a nutshell
These leading medical organizations and individuals have joined forces to create a centre of clinical expertise to help couples with fertility issues and to provide them with the best possible care as they try to conceive.
This partnership brings together various fertility experts, gynaecologists and urologists, and a laboratory equipped with the most advanced assisted reproductive technology (ART) at their disposal.
Partners
FertiGenève is a joint venture between:
- the reproductive medicine team (UMREG) at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), which includes gynaecologists specializing in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) and specialized nurses;
- private practitioners certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at Clinique Générale-Beaulieu;
- Fertas SA, a reproductive biology laboratory.
This association of public and private partners benefits couples directly:
- By combining their expertise, and in particular their financial resources, the partners have been able to invest in cutting-edge equipment and consequently offer infertile couples the best possible care by providing access to all the latest assisted reproductive technology (ART) that is authorized in Switzerland.
- Working with private Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility (REI) specialists at Clinique Générale-Beaulieu has made it possible to increase the number of patients using the laboratory’s services and so enabled the purchase of expensive equipment.
- Pooling investments and increasing patient volume has helped to keep down the cost of treatment payable by couples.
