PD Dr med Nicola Pluchino
Associate Consultant in the Department of Gynaecology at HUG, Head of the Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology Unit and of the Endometriosis Centre
A specialist in gynaecological endocrinology and reproductive surgery, Dr Pluchino graduated from the University of Pisa and holds a PhD in reproductive neuroendocrinology.
After joining HUG in 2013, he co-founded the Endometriosis Centre in 2016. From 2022 to 2025, he was Head of the Fertility Medicine Unit at CHUV. Since 2026, he has led the Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology Unit as well as the Endometriosis Centre.
His clinical and research interests include endometriosis and uterine disorders, sex hormone disorders, and human reproduction.
